The Department of Rehabilitation Science was highly representative in a newly funded multi-disciplinary, grant through the OU Norman Vice President of Research, entitled, Rapid, Multidisciplinary Needs Assessment for Patients with COVID-19 Transitioning Hospital to Home. Carrie Ciro, PhD, OTR/L, FAOTA is a Co-PI, along with Teresa Fritz, MSW and Susan Dresser, PhD, APRN.
Other people serving on the grant in our department include, Shirley James., PT, PhD, MS (co-investigator), Vince Lepak, PT, DPT, CWS (data collection/student supervision, Hillary McGuire, MOT, OTR/L, C/NDT, CBIS (data collection/student supervision) and Carol Dionne, PT, DPT, PhD, OCS (sub-contractor through the Center for Human Performance Measurement). Two-three occupational therapy students will be participating in the research via Fieldwork I rotations. Two physical therapy students have volunteered to participate for data collection.
