Returning Students University and Clinical Requirements

Allied health education combines the knowledge of theory and the application of these principles in competent and compassionate patient care. National accrediting and credentialing bodies mandate fully integrated didactic and clinical program components. Clinical education is an integral part of the total curriculum. This website is dedicated to information pertinent to allied health students and their clinical education.

CARDIOPULMONARY RESUSCITATION (CPR)
A Basic Life Support (BLS) – Health Care Provider Level CPR course through the American Heart Association must be completed every two years while enrolled in an OU College of Allied Health program.  Follow the instructions from your department on where and how to provide proof of your CPR.

CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK AND DRUG SCREENING TEST 
DO NOT
submit a copy of the results to your department because they receive a copy directly from Certiphi.

STUDENT CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK & DRUG SCREEN INSTRUCTIONS

Students, you MUST follow the instructions on the form and call the Certiphi Occupational Health Department at 800-799-1328 with the specimen identification number once your specimen has been completed. Otherwise, you will have to re-take and pay for the drug screen again. Additionally, there is a time limit to have the drug screening completed.

COVID-19
Review the information here on COVID19 vaccine and attestation or declination. Students who began programs prior to 2021 should upload documentation to their student self-service. Students who are beginning programs 2021 or later should upload documentation to Complio, the College of Allied Health’s new designated software platform for immunization tracking.

TUBERCULOSIS TEST
