The College of Allied Health values and embraces diversity and assumes responsibility to model through its actions mindfulness and respect for all aspects of human differences. It recognizes that some dimensions of diversity are readily apparent and others are not, nor are they fixed. The College is committed to creating and maintaining an environment of inclusion and equity that extends to everyone.
We acknowledge the pain and anxiety that exist among our faculty, staff, and students, but specifically our African American community. We must continue to support and advocate for communities who have systemically experienced acts of racism and violence. We must also continue to partner with law enforcement and policymakers to ensure we have just and equitable policies and practices. We understand that members of our community are deeply impacted and experiencing pain because of the acts occurring in our country, and will continue to lend our support to our OU family.
