IACUC-approved CT scanning laboratory equipped with a 16-slice Philips scanner, 70 cm gantry bore width, for collaborative team-based research and projects involving animal, fossil, cadaver or other nonliving human scanning.


3D Lab

MIRS 3D Printing Lab

A 3D Printing Lab currently equipped with a Form 2 SLA printer with a variety of rigid and flexible resins. We collaborate with others on research, teaching, or service-related activities. We are also capable of extracting 3D data from CT and MRI datasets created with slice thicknesses of 1 mm or less.


Sonography Lab

Sonography Lab

Scanning laboratory equipped with 5-6 functional Ultrasound units including Acuson/Siemens, GE, Zonare and Sonosite. Opportunity for collaborative interdisciplinary research involving ultrasound scanning. 



VERT Laboratory (Virtual Environment Radiotherapy Training)

The Virtual Environment Radiotherapy Trainer (VERT) offers a simulated state of the art training system for students, patients and patient families to visualize, engage, and understand their radiation treatment. Opportunities exist with the VERT for collaboration of educational and clinical studies led by Professors Mangrum and Anderson.
