Please join us for our next Ask the Expert chat on June 9, 2022, at 6 pm CST. This is a panel discussion with General Michael Hayden, Coleman Watson, Doreen Mendez, and Cris Gomes about life with aphasia. Additionally, we will hear from the founder of the National Aphasia Association: Martha Taylor Sarno, president of the NAA: Darlene Williamson, and former Congresswoman: Gabby Giffords.

Cris Gomes is an alumnus of the Communication Sciences and Disorders Department in the College of Allied Health. She is a stroke survivor and aphasia vanquisher who has returned to work as a speech-language pathologist. Her experience of aphasia holds lessons for all health care professionals.
