What is Occupational Therapy?

“Occupational therapy addresses the physical, cognitive, and psychosocial aspects of occupational performance (everyday life activities) in a variety of settings to support engagement in those life activities that affect health, well-being and quality of life.” (AOTA, 2004)  As an example, this occupational therapist is teaching a person to use an adapted “Photo” Phone.
