Occupational Therapy
Since Professor Sharon Sanderson’s retirement in 2000, the OT program has hosted the Sharon Sanderson Lectureship in her honor. Not only does this Lectureship honor Professor Sanderson’s time and impact in the Department, it gives students the opportunity to learn from working professionals and outside experts in their field.
Physical Therapy
Thelma Pedersen Graduate Education Fund is named after Professor Emeritus Thelma Pederson, who was the founding chairman for physical therapy at OU. She strongly supported post-professional education, which is the purpose of this fund.
Often times, students who come back to school have major responsibilities outside the classroom such as family and work responsibilities. This is why it is important for the College to support these students and assist them in completing their post-professional education.
