Danielle Butler, MS, RDN/LD - Cystic Fibrosis Resources Guide

Published: Tuesday, June 21, 2016

Danielle Butler, MS, RDN/LD, recently graduated from the MS program in our Department.  She is the Clinical Dietitian for the Pediatric Pulmonary Clinic & Cystic Fibrosis Center of Oklahoma.  Her Master's Project involved the development of an educational handout for patients, called the R.A.C.E. CF (Reducing All Complications Early in Cystic Fibrosis), with the help of her graduate committee members, Allen Knehans, Leah Hoffman, and Peggy Turner.  Because of the effectiveness of the program, the R.A.C.E. CF materials have been added to the national Cystic Fibrosis Resources Guide and will be displayed at the North American Cystic Fibrosis Conference to be held in Orlando, Florida October, 2016.  We are so pleased that the work of one of our graduate students is changing health care in Oklahoma and beyond for patients with cystic fibrosis.
