FALL ORIENTATION: Tomorrow's Healthcare Leaders in CSD and Nutritional Sciences
Published: Tuesday, September 12, 2023
The Fall 2023 orientation for the Communication and Sciences Disorders and Nutritional Sciences Department has been a success, setting the tone for the future of these healthcare professionals. The three-day orientation program was specifically designed to instill core leadership values and professionalism, ensuring that incoming Allied Health students embark on their academic journey as confident individuals to become exceptional CSD undergraduate students, Speech-language pathologists, Audiologists, and Dietitians.
This year’s orientation highlighted the importance of leadership values. Interim Nutritional Sciences Department Chair Katie Eliot’s presentation on the 5 Voices method left us inspired and motivated to embrace the journey ahead, and The Oklahoma Science Museum provided the perfect backdrop for a day filled with fun experiences and valuable insights. The program provided students with insights into teamwork, effective communication, and ethical decision-making, all of which are critical skills in their respective fields
As we look ahead to the graduating classes of 2025 and 2027, there is excitement about the achievements these students will attain. We can't wait to see your meaningful contributions to the world of healthcare. GO SOONERS!
