Communication Sciences and Disorders first-year students complete CSD 5530, a forum-style class that utilizes guest lecturers presenting a wide range of topics impacting clinical and teaching skills development in the practice of speech-language pathology. Speech-language pathologists and professionals from other related fields present topics and often have hands-on activities to engage the class in current best practices and hot topic areas in the field of speech-language pathology. The class is taught by Mona Ryan, M.S., CCC-SLP, ASHA Fellow.
Dr. Jennifer Tetnowski, PhD, CCC-SLP and Beth Lane, M.A.,CCC-SLP, both faculty for the CSD department, recently presented a training titled “ Prevention and Response to Client Agitation and Physical Aggression.”
