Professor, Katie Eliot led efforts for The College of Allied Health to receive the ASAHP IP Award for Institutional Excellence and Innovation in Interprofessional Education and Collaborative Health for her submission to the Association of Schools Advancing Health Professions (ASAHP) Care.
There were many outstanding submissions that highlighted the important efforts by ASAHP member institutions working interprofessionally to improve health and education in their communities. The review committee engaged in an iterative process to select the ASAHP Award honoree and to identify additional Programs of Merit. The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center was selected as a Program of Merit for the 2022 ASAHP Award for Institutional Excellence and Innovation in Interprofessional Education and Collaborative Health Care.
The College of Allied Health was recognized for this award and given an opportunity to present at the 2022 ASAHP Annual Conference in Long Beach, California. The winning submission was presented by Eliot.
