First Generation Resources The University of Oklahoma is committed to ensuring that all prospective students have the belief that a college degree is attainable. First-generation students – those whose parents/guardians did not finish a four-year college degree – may often believe that a future promise of education is not afforded to them due to a lack of familial experience. To support first-generation students, OU has curated a wide variety of resources to provide the information needed for every prospective student to have the opportunity for success.
