Mountain High Camp

Mountain High camp is a week-long experience for survivors of traumatic brain injury and their families. It is an experience of a lifetime for not only for the campers, but the volunteers, counselors, & the entire town. The amount of support and love the entire town gives is incredible. Everything was planned down to the minor details & everyone had a role. This year was extra special as Mountain High has been canceled the previous three years due to COVID-19. The worship, talent show, western dance night, outings around town, & just the simple conversations between the campers and is made for many sweet memories. You really got to know your camper, their families, & and their lifestyle. We were there to help the campers, but they helped us more than they would ever know. The camper's and family's openness gave us the ability to understand traumatic brain injury in a way that the classroom can’t. We are forever grateful for this experience.
