Establishment of the Martha J. Ferretti Endowed Scholarship in Rehabilitation Sciences
Published: Monday, April 25, 2016
Marti is retiring this summer after 42 years of service to the College and University. Scholarships in her honor will be awarded annually to occupational therapy and physical therapy students who exhibit leadership skills and a demonstrated record of community engagement. Ferretti is an outstanding leader, inspiring visionary, mentor, and friend to countless students, faculty and staff. Her exceptional career serves as an inspiration to anyone who knows her!
The surprise announcement celebration, held on April 19 in the Jenielle Greenlee Faculty and Staff Commons, was made by Dean Rudeen to Marti and the entire Rehabilitation Sciences department (Tulsa faculty and staff joined via DE). She was completely surprised and had no idea any campaigns were underway for her! The first part of the campaign was a “silent phase” geared toward community members whom she has worked with over the years. The second phase of the campaign will be geared toward faculty, staff and alumni. Be sure to check your campus mailboxes next week for more information!
