The Department of Medical Imaging and Radiation Sciences includes five undergraduate programs focused on the art of medical imaging and radiation therapy. Our programs are programmatically accredited and recognized nationally through our outstanding faculty and educational curricula. This is an exciting time to work in these healthcare professions! Within our fields, we use some of the most advanced and sophisticated equipment, applying critical judgment to produce diagnostic images and ensure safe and effective therapeutic interventions. Our Department values its place within the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, where our students and faculty engage in interprofessional activities to prepare for the current healthcare environment. Students and graduates collaborate with physicians such as radiologists, radiation oncologists, cardiologists, urologists, emergency medicine physicians, obstetricians/gynecologists, and family practice physicians.

PhD Candidate Wins Student Poster Competition Award during Oklahoma Statistical Conference

Jonathan Baldwin, a PhD candidate in the Department of Biostatistics and Epidemiology, recently won the student poster competition award during the Oklahoma Conference for Statistics, Biostatistics and Data Science.

The conference was the first-ever conference for statistical innovation and application in the era of data science. Baldwin’s presentation is titled “Propensity Score Estimation and Inverse Probability of Treatment Weighting Using Logistic Regression and Computer Learning Methods”. Baldwin’s mentors are Dr. Kai Ding and Dr. Sixia Chen.
