Welcome to the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD). We are delighted that you are exploring a future in speech-language pathology or audiology—professions grounded in science, compassion, and a commitment to improving quality of life across the lifespan. Our department is dedicated to preparing students to understand human communication and its disorders through rigorous coursework, simulation-based education, and meaningful engagement with clients/patients and their family members.
Our department offers two professional programs, including the MA-SLP program and the Doctor of Audiology (AuD) program. An undergraduate (Bachelor of Science) degree is also offered by the CSD department. Our location is the College of Allied Health on the OU Health Campus in Oklahoma City. A distinguishing feature of our programs is that we are one of only a few programs in the U.S. to train speech-language pathologists and audiologists on a comprehensive medical campus.
CSD students are supported by expert faculty who are devoted educators, clinicians, and researchers. We look forward to welcoming you into a collaborative learning environment where curiosity is encouraged and your journey toward making a lasting impact in the lives of others can begin.
