Radiography is a healthcare profession focused on producing diagnostic medical images using x-rays and other forms of radiation. Radiographers may work independently or alongside physicians to create images in specialized areas such as computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), mammography, cardiac-interventional (CI) radiography, and vascular-interventional (VI) radiography.

Radiographers must exercise initiative and sound judgment to obtain high-quality images that support accurate physician interpretation. Just as importantly, they help patients feel at ease by translating a high-tech process into a compassionate experience.

Graduates are prepared to enter this growing field and are eligible to sit for national credentialing exams.
