The Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences & Disorders program introduces students to the study of typical speech and hearing processes, as well as the nature and impact of communication disorders. Students explore foundational concepts and gain insight into conditions such as aphasia, childhood speech disorders, voice loss following laryngectomy, cerebral palsy, cleft palate, language-learning disabilities, and hearing loss.

While the undergraduate program focuses on foundational knowledge, it also prepares students for further study in Audiology or Speech-Language Pathology—fields that require advanced training in communication assessment and intervention techniques. Graduates are well-positioned to pursue careers that improve lives through the diagnosis and treatment of communication disorders.
