Professor Gildon Re-Elected as ACERT Vice President, Showcases Innovative Research

LAS VEGAS—Bradford Gildon, MA, BSRT, RT (R), Associate Professor and Radiography Program Director at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, made a strong impression at the 50th anniversary National Association of Collegiate Educators in Radiologic Technology (ACERT) conference, held Feb. 5-7.
Dr. Gildon delivered an oral presentation, “Turning Orange: Positivity, Happiness, and Success in Your Radiology Life,” to an audience of nearly 400 educators. His talk, which explored the power of optimism in professional and academic settings, was met with overwhelmingly positive feedback. Many attendees also noted the creative tie-in between his message and his vibrant orange suit.
In addition to his presentation, Dr. Gildon showcased his research poster, “Unlikely Imaging in an Unlikely Patient: CT to Rule Out Cryptorchidism in a Muntjac,” highlighting his scanning work with the Oklahoma City Zoo.
A dedicated leader in the field, Gildon recently completed his term as vice president of NACERT and was re-elected to serve from 2025 to 2027. His ongoing contributions to radiologic education and leadership continue to elevate OUHSC’s presence on a national stage.
