College of Allied Health announces the launch of the Allied Leadership Collective, or ALLCO
Published: Monday, March 30, 2026
The College of Allied Health is excited to announce the launch of the Allied Leadership Collective, or ALLCO., a new resource to build healthcare leadership abilities in students, faculty, and staff.
Developed from a leadership academy model launched in the College in 2021, ALLCO. offers opportunities for interested individuals to engage at the level where they feel most comfortable – whether that is on-demand quick-tip videos, e-books, and workshops, enrollment in certificate programs, participation in an intensive leadership fellowship, or anywhere in between. The goal in offering these resources is simple – leadership development should be accessible, person-centered, and embedded in everyday academic life.
ALLCO. is led by Director Katie Eliot, PhD, RDN/LD, FAND, Associate Professor in the Department of Nutritional Sciences and an alumna of the prestigious Rice University Doerr Institute for New Leaders. Nationally known for her scholarship in interprofessional health education and team facilitation, Dr. Eliot has published more than 30 papers in refereed journals and given more than 20 invited talks to an array of professional and lay audiences.
She has led numerous teams and associations, including service as Chair of the OU Health Campus Interprofessional Educators and Practitioners Association, the National Academies of Practice Nutrition and Dietetics Academy, and the Nutrition and Dietetic Educators and Preceptors Council. She has been recognized with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Medallion Award, the Susan G Komen Foundation Honorable M Eileen Echols Inspired Award, the James H Korn Scholarship of Teaching and Learning Award, and was inducted as a Distinguished Scholar Fellow to the National Academies of Practice in 2024.
Launch events planned throughout 2026 will provide more information on specific opportunities for students, staff, and faculty interested in learning more about ALLCO. For more information, contact katie-eliot@ou.edu.
