Micki D. Nadelson, RD, MS, CDE
Micki Nadelson is a clinical assistant professor in Clinical and Administrative Sciences at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center College of Pharmacy. She earned a BS in Chemistry from the University of Oklahoma and a MS in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. She is a Registered Dietitian, a Certified Diabetes Educator and Certified Insulin Pump Trainer. She is the Program Coordinator at the OUHSC Family Medicine Center Silver Clinic for Diabetes Self-Management Training where she counsels patients regarding Medical Nutrition Therapy, insulin management, and insulin pump therapy. She currently teaches Medical Nutrition Therapy for Diabetes, General Nutrition, and Advanced Diabetes Electives for graduate pharmacy and nutritional sciences students at the OU College of Pharmacy. She has served as Chapter President of the American Association of Diabetes Educators Local Networking Group, is a member of the AADE, the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, and the Diabetes Care and Education Dietetic Practice Group of the AND. Her research interests include nutrition intervention in the African American community to improve diabetes outcomes, insulin pump therapy in family and internal medicine practice, and motivational interviewing.
