The Association of University Centers on Disabilities has announced that the Walmart Foundation has funded the OU Health Sciences Center to launch the “Nutrition is for Everyone” project. The project will provide nutrition education to people in the disability community in Oklahoma and three other states. A primary focus will be to increase fruit and vegetable consumption in this group. Susan Sisson, PhD, Associate Professor in NS, will serve as the OUHSC Faculty Associate for the project. One of our graduates from our dual MA-MS program, Megan Krampe, will be the “Nutrition Ambassador” for the project, and is responsible for developing and implementing the nutrition education in the state.
