Welcome, New Students!

The first step in becoming a successful student is to complete all items (unless not required according to notation below) on this website by the date required.

All items on this website MUST be completed prior to beginning our program. Begin ASAP to ensure that you get everything completed by the required deadline.  

So, don’t waste any time and dig in!

The College of Allied Health Student Orientation is coordinated by the Office of Academic and Student Services. Please contact us if you have any questions.

College Orientation (required for all new summer & fall students)

 

All new Summer and Fall students (with the exception of the Bachelor of Science in Radiation Sciences web-based students) are required to attend the College-wide Orientation on Wednesday August 16th (mandatory) and Thursday August 17th (if applicable).

Required Trainings

ALL new students are required to complete the three trainings below prior to beginning classes; students will not be allowed to start classes until all trainings are completed!  You must enable your OUHSC computer account and have your OUHSC Username and Password to complete on-line training.

  • HIPAA Training: Privacy & Security trainings only (not available until May 25, 2017) – LINK FOR TRAINING - You must upload your certificate for training to your student self-service account.
     
  • Environmental Health & Safety (EHSO) Training: Bloodborne Pathogens  and Tuberculosis – LINK FOR TRAINING - You must upload your certificate to your student self-service account.
     
  • General Safety/Hazard Communication – LINK FOR TRAINING  -  Training will be available beginning May 8th for students beginning classes in the summer and July 10th for students beginning classes in the fall.  Once you sign into OnPoint for this training you will need to click on the Library tab to find the training you need to take.  Please note:  There will be a link for Fire & Safety Training, however it is not mandatory. You must upload your certificate to your student self-service account.
  • Sexual Misconduct, Discrimination and Harassment Policy TrainingLINK FOR TRAINING  No upload of a certificate is needed.

Finances

 

Student ID Card

In order to get your ID card, you must be enrolled.  The Staff in your Department will complete your enrollment for you.  They will have it complete two weeks prior to the first day of classes IF you have turned everything in including your latest transcripts.  You will not be able to get an ID card until your final transcripts have been received.

All students must have a student OneCard ID prior to the beginning of classes if beginning in the summer and prior to orientation if beginning in the fall.  A driver's license, military ID card, or passport must be presented in order to get a OneCard ID.

    • Location:  Enrollment and Student Financial Services, 1st floor, corridor C, Room 114
    • Operating Hours:  8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

    • IDs are not required for online students but if a student would like one then the student must physically present to one of the campuses listed above to obtain an ID.
